The official City of Alexandria Championships! Only open to students who live or go to school in the city.

This tournament has different sections for students depending on their age. Children play only against opponents in their own age group. The first round is at 10:00am for all players. The tournament concludes by 3:00pm with a brief awards ceremony where the top players and top school teams receive trophies.

Players should arrive around 9:45am
All sections are non-elimination, and all players participate in all four rounds
For players using chess clocks, the time control is G/25 with a 5-second time delay
Unlike most of our tournaments this event is not US Chess rated

Chess sets are provided.
