Maurice Ashley is the first ever African American grandmaster, and he was inducted into the chess hall of fame in 2016.
In this camp beginners will learn the basics, with easy examples from Ashley’s games included as illustrations. More advanced players will learn from more complicated and challenging examples from Ashley’s games. Can you find the tactic Ashley played in the picture? It was his turn, and he was playing with the black pieces.
