Magnus Chess Academy has been teaching chess in Montgomery County since 2010. Over that time period we've taught more than 10,000 students in after school clubs, before school clubs, and camps. They include kids who've won state and national championships, but most of our students are beginners looking to learn a fun new game. That's how all the champions start out too!
We run classes everywhere from Bethesda and Chevy Chase to Germantown, Potomac, Rockville, and Silver Spring. On days when students aren't in school during the year we'll usually have an online camp, and in the summer we have summer camps.

We run tournaments every month in Rockville, as well as other nearby tournaments like the State Tournament in April.
