Chess for Kids in Virginia

Silver Knights Chess Academy has been teaching chess in Northern Virginia since 2008.  Over that period we've taught 90,000 kids chess in hundreds of elementary schools, middle schools, and summer camps.  Basically every year (including 2025!) a student wins a state championship in Virginia, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill, have fun, and maybe progress to try a tournament.

In the school year we run clubs at schools and community centers on days with school, break camps on days without school, and tournaments on weekends.  In the summer we run camps.  We also offer more advanced chess classes online in our Academy program.
