At Magnus Academy, we love making chess fun!

This is a trial class meant for families to see what the online academy is all about! Students will do a lesson on the most famous game of chess ever played. It's a great way to review (or learn) opening principles, piece values, forks, pins, and checkmates... and it ends with a queen sacrifice! Afterwards, students will play a practice tournament with each other.

If your child is a strong tournament player (rated over 1400 USCF) you should instead try our Elite Academy trial class.
