Learn From the Greats: Magnus Carlsen
Magnus Carlsen is the 5 time chess world champion, the highest rated player ever, and he was the youngest person ever to be ranked number 1 in the world. He’s good!

We have two Magnus Carlsen weeks - each week will have different content!

In this camp beginners will learn the basics, spiced up with stories and simple examples from Carlsen’s career.

More advanced players will learn from more advanced games and tactics… like the one in the picture where as white he played a move that clinched a World Championship Match! Can you find it?

You can also join us on Saturday July 27th for an extra special event over zoom with Magnus himself!

Typical schedule for a day:

9:30-9:40 Introductions, chat, get to know each other
9:40-10:10 Lesson
10:10-10:45 Practice games and possibly student game analysis
10:45-11:00 Break
11:00-11:25 Lesson
11:25-12:00 Practice games
