Ashburton Elementary Chess Club Fall 2024

• Chess Club meets 3:35pm-4:35pm
• Club and Teams meets both 8:00am-9:00am AND 3:35pm-4:35pm
• 12 weeks

Learn chess with Magnus Academy, the five time world champion’s academy! We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state & national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.

Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments outside of club time, which may have an additional fee.  All chess supplies provided. We welcome all grades and skill levels!

New this fall! Chess Club and Team

This program is an extension of Chess Club. During club, class time is divided between lessons and practice games. For students signed up for Club & Team, in this second hour that meets in the morning, we are taking Chess Club to the next level, focusing on solving chess puzzles and playing tournament style games.

• ChessKid Gold membership (normally $49/year)
• Weekly evening practice tournament
