Scholastic State and National Chess Championships of 2026/2027

When is your child's state chess championship?

Take a look at the list of the upcoming scholastic state and national chess championships. Many 2027 tournaments have not been scheduled yet, so we will continue to add more dates as states schedule them. These tournaments (except Maryland!) are not run by Silver Knights Chess Academy. The ones we DO run can be found here.

How to prepare for tournaments?

The classes below are great options for students looking to improve their chess game for tournaments:

• In our Academy Program, students progress through nine class levels as they improve.
  • Find out what your class level is with a trial class here.
  • If your child has a USCF rating between 1400 and 2300 USCF then take one of our Grandmaster trials here.
• Tournament Preparation Classes for Intermediate and Advanced Students
  • Fall Session: Nov 4-  Dec 9 (5 weeks total) Register here!
