Scholastic State and National US Chess Championships of 2025

Here's a list of this year's (2025!) scholastic state and national championships. Not all tournaments have been scheduled yet, and we will add more dates when we can. These tournaments (except Maryland!) are not run by Magnus Chess Academy. If you wish to see MCA tournaments, you can find those here.

If you're an intermediate or advanced player looking for online classes to prepare for tournaments then the classes below are great options:

In our Academy Program, students can progress through our class levels as they improve. Find out what your class level is with a trial class here. If you have a USCF rating between 1400 and 2300 USCF then take one of our Grandmaster trials here. 

If you want to take a 4 week tournament preparation course, then we have a winter session (Feb 12-Mar 5) and a spring session (Apr 2- 23).
